Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TableSewa platform ("Service") operated by TableSewa ("we", "us", "our") at tablesewa.com. By creating an account and subscribing to the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

TableSewa provides a software platform that allows hospitality businesses ("restaurant owners") to offer QR-code-based table ordering and Stripe-powered payment processing to their customers. We provide the technology — you operate your business.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorised to operate a business in the United Kingdom to subscribe to TableSewa. By signing up, you confirm that this is the case.

4. Subscription and billing

  • The Service is available for a monthly subscription fee of £19.99 per month per restaurant.
  • Payment is charged monthly in advance via Stripe at the time of sign-up and on each renewal date.
  • All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
  • If a payment fails, access to the dashboard may be suspended until payment is resolved.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page in your dashboard. On cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months. If you have any issues cancelling, contact us at contact@tablesewa.com.

6. Your responsibilities

As a restaurant owner using TableSewa, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account credentials secure and not sharing them with others
  • The accuracy of your menu, pricing, and availability information
  • Fulfilling all orders placed through the platform
  • Complying with all applicable food safety, hygiene, and trading laws
  • Collecting and remitting any applicable taxes on sales made through the platform
  • Ensuring customers receive what they ordered and paid for
  • Having your own Stripe account and complying with Stripe's Terms of Service

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • Sell illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited goods or services
  • Process fraudulent transactions
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or other users' use of it
  • Reproduce, resell, or sublicense the Service to third parties

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

8. Payments and Stripe

Customer payments are processed by Stripe on your behalf. TableSewa does not handle or hold customer funds. Your agreement with Stripe governs the processing of payments. We are not responsible for any disputes, chargebacks, or failed payments between you and your customers or between you and Stripe.

9. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will endeavour to minimise disruption and notify users in advance of planned downtime where possible. Support is available via contact@tablesewa.com.

10. Intellectual property

The TableSewa platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us. You retain ownership of your own content (menu items, logos, images) uploaded to the platform. You grant us a licence to display your content within the platform for the purpose of providing the Service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any loss of revenue, loss of profits, or indirect losses arising from your use of the Service
  • Our total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in that period
  • We are not responsible for disputes between you and your customers regarding orders, refunds, or food quality

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. Changes to the service or terms

We may update these Terms or change the pricing or features of the Service. We will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
